The Active Retirement Group is open to people aged 55+ who live in the local community and surrounding areas; Dublin 1 and parts of Dublin 3 & 7. Our aim is to provide a friendly, fun, supportive and stimulating environment for our members.
In Ozanam House every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Some members come everyday, some once a week - whatever suits!
Most mornings start with a cuppa and a chat followed by a wide range of activities on different days. These include the 'Go for Life' exercise programme; Tai Chi, Reflexology, Various Games, Cooking, Knitting, Darts, Bowls, Bingo, Cards, Jigsaws and Board Games. Members also attend classes in the Centre such as Line Dancing, Art, Drama and Making the most of your Mobile Phone. We also have weekly Irish class for members.
Suggestions and ideas for new activities are always welcome. Members can pick and choose what they want to do. From time to time we have talks on relevant topics with guest speakers. We go on outings about once a month through-out the year. Every July, we have a Summer Project and 2 outings each week.
Annual Membership is €25 and outings typically cost between €5 & €15 depending on the outing.

A group for men from the local community and surrounding areas; Dublin 1 and parts of Dublin 3 & 7. We welcome men of all backgrounds and ages from 40 years up. Our aims are to be friendly, fun and open to new experiences.
At Ozanam House every Tuesday and Thursday from 2pm to 6pm, and every Friday from 2 to 5 pm. Some members come everyday, some once a week - whatever suits!
We do Cooking, Computers and Relaxation technique activities and classes. We play Pool, make Jigsaws and play Board Games. We go on outings once a month during the year and twice a week during the summer time. We sit and chat over cups of tea, we eat tasty and healthy food. We are always open to new projects and suggestions.
Annual Membership €25 (January to December), and outings typically cost from €2.50 to €3.50 each, depending on the outing.
