Volunteering with Ozanam House

Join Now For a Rewarding Experience!

We are constantly seeking volunteers to help us in the many areas of Ozanam House, from our youth services to our adult education and community services.

We recruit from September for our Summer Projects, and through-out the year for our regular programmes.

A great volunteering experience can be dependent on ensuring you are in the right role, a role that matches your skills and interests.

What Happens Here?

Ozanam House Community Resource Centre offers programmes that develop skills in a wide variety of areas. It also offers individuals, young and old, the opportunity to build the confidence and self belief to develop and grow so that they and their families can have a better future.

Our programmes range from childcare to working with the elderly.

What we're Looking for?

We're looking for people who have skills and passions that they would like to share with others.

Individuals who enjoy meeting new people, are good communicators and can commit to the role and hours involved. Some roles require training which is compulsory. Most roles don’t require any specialist skills or qualifications, just an ability to share your skills, energy and passions.

What Volunteers Do?

When someone offers their time and skills as a volunteer, we do what we can to find a good match between the volunteer and the roles available.

Volunteers can teach classes, facilitate workshops, act as mentors and leaders, help the co-ordinators of the programme in organising and running groups, join in the activities and simply have fun!

Important Note

All volunteers go through a strict selection process prior to being accepted into our volunteer programme. Potential candidates are required to fill out an application form, provide a photo ID, the names of two referees. Garda clearance is also required for all volunteers, in which we use a Garda Vetting process.
We advise applying early for summer project programmes. Get in contact now if you'd like to volunteer!
